Our march towards a Smart and Safe City

Vision :

We strive to make Cyberabad a safe and secure city to support its endeavor to become a word-class IT destination through implementing proactive and preventive initiatives, excellence in surveillance techniques adopting the latest technology and tools, partnering with and educating all stakeholders and facilitate effective participation of all concerned. The areas of focus are: Personal safety, particularly Women safety, IT infrastructure safety, Traffic safety, Cyber safety, Information security and Business continuity from a public infrastructure stand point

Message from Chairman :

“I am glad to reach out to you through the latest initiative of SCSC. SCSC is a unique organization which acts as a bridge between the Cyberabad Police & Govt. on one side and the IT Industry on the other, taking up a variety of activities and initiatives to ensure Business Continuity. With our five pronged strategy, launched last year, we have shaped the reliability of the security and safety needs in the Cyberabad IT corridor and have given teeth to the Organisation by creating a full time secretariat to function at the Cyberabad Commissionerate along with a new governing council

We have also taken actions to create a specific focus on the safe being of women in the Zone by creating a special Women Council. I welcome you all to be an active part of the society and take advantage of the various programs to ensure the Safety and Security of IT corridor together. I congratulate the office bearers for an excellent set of activities and wish them all the very best in the future endeavours”.

Message from Secretary :

First of all, it is a great honour to be a part of this organization which focuses all its efforts towards safety and security of Cyberabad IT industry. We are proud of our various accomplishments in the last few years and would strive to evolve as a better organization with more value proposition to our member community by facilitating increased efficiencies, and continued relevancy in the areas of safety and Security, more importantly in a holistic manner. We have developed various programs through our multiple Sub-committees/Forums to address different elements of safety and Security such as Women’s safety, Emergency response procedure, Cab Drivers and Security staff sensitization. We have been successfully supporting Cyberabad Police on certain critical security initiatives such as CCTV Surveillance, IT Corridor patrolling and setting up of Check posts etc.,. We shall be more connected with our members by means of effective communication, conducting events and encouraging “Top to down” participative approach

Forums @ SCSC

The forums are the spearheads of all activities conducted by the SCSC. The spirit of collaboration is kept intact with equal representation from the Cyberabad Police and the Industry. These forums plan and conduct various activities AND programs towards the achievements of goals laid down through the FIVE PRONGED STRATEGY. Seldom does a week go where the forums do not make their presence felt in the IT corridor

Security and Safety Forum

The safety and Security forum constituted in August 2014 has been created to address the issues related to safety and security of the employees and physical assets of the IT corridor. The forum acts both at a strategic level to conduct Risk Assessment and Threat Analysis, It also works as a nodal agency to interface with various government and enterprise representatives to create and formulate Standard Operating Procedures for Threat Mitigation through interventions, Planning Response and Training various agencies. The forum also conducts training for security representative both at a leadership and field level to ensure that the Enterprise and IT parks possess relevant first responder capability to handle threats

Women’S Forum

The SCSC Women’s Forum, created in 2014, is a unique platform that works in tandem with Cyberabad Police and IT/BPM organizations to help increase awareness on women safety and security related issues. The specific objective to empower women in Cyberabad to manage respond effectively to issues of safety and security

The problem of women’s safety in India is a complex one, but change can happen with focused efforts. SCSC Women’s Forum is working with progressive business organizations for:

Increasing awareness amongst women employees on personal safety and how to respond to situations

Making male managers and business leaders a part of these conversations

Making personal safety an important aspect of a manager’s responsibility

Creating volunteer-employees to take these messages beyond business organizations and to schools, colleges and other workplaces

Implementation – in letter and spirit – of the statutory requirements, which includes Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act

Last but not the least, coming together to create a shared understanding for collective execution to promote the cause

In the last 6 months of operations, the SCSC Women’s Forum has reached out to 6000+ employees in Cyberabad through its workshops

Traffic Forum

Traffic Forum at SCSC has been created to enable community policing amongst IT employees on road safety measures and to develop a strong group of volunteers to man and help traffic police to manage busy junctions in the IT corridor during peak hours. Started an year ago, with every few volunteers from Microsoft, today there are about 150 plus active volunteers from different IT companies working closely with the Cyerabad Traffic Team
